8 bedrooms, 20 uniquely designed items and over 300 pieces of furniture;
this is our project in a nutshell.
The property Endurance Village is a new luxury horse racing venue located in the Southern Governate of Bahrain. It is a purpose-built facility designed to host Endurance Racing events, which are particularly popular in Bahrain. It comprises of spectator, hospitality and leisure facilities within one state-of-the-art complex.
The brief Working from the design concept created by Magna, our brief focused on the fit-out of two luxury hospitality buildings. It is from here that the Bahraini Royal Family and their guests will view racing events, meaning every element of the project had to be delivered to an exacting standard.
The scope The ‘King’s building’ features an impressive private lounge and dining area and the ‘Dubai building’ includes a grand banqueting area, private lounge and deluxe bedroom facilities for visiting competitors and their guests. The McMillan team worked with Kemen Group and Magna Design to fit-out and furnish both buildings.
Technical design Working with the design intent envisaged by Magna Design, our team managed the technical design and manufacture phase of the project, creating a variety of features for the complex . This included a custom CNCed 8x4m solid oak partition, which formed a part of the private lounge and dining area within the Dubai building.
Manufacture and procurement This project includes a mixture of bespoke joinery and furniture items and the procurement of finished items from specialist suppliers around the globe. Stunning lighting design was an area of focus and we partnered with Chelsom Lighting who used a combination of standard products with bespoke pieces to help bring this to life.
Installation and management Delivering a project in a desert has its logistical challenges. Our project management team was on-site for the duration of the project, working with installation teams, managing local contractors and ensuring the safe delivery of all items from overseas.
